our history

NCS was founded on the principles of quality and honesty. Founders Les and Mary Dobbins started the company out of the basement of their family home. They knew they could provide a valuable service by listening to their customers’ needs and working to fulfill them. Customers continued to come back and Numerical Control Support quickly outgrew that space.

Seven years and three expansions later, they found the permanent location, a 50,000 sq ft facility surrounded by 13 acres which allows for potential continued expansion.

Receiving numerous recognitions over the years, NCS has grown to become one of the premier manufacturers in the Midwest. While the customers we serve and the products we produce continue to evolve through growth, the founding principles defined at the inception of NCS in 1974 have not changed.

Quality and Honesty are the pillars on which NCS’ foundation was built, and continues to stand over 45 years later .
